A Kenyan native and a former Fulbright scholarship recipient, Salome is currently completing a PhD in Higher Education Administration and Student affarisat Ohio University. She has taught Swahili at both the high school and college level and has an extensive background in higher education administration, including grant writing and data analysis and interpretation. In her previous role as Assistant Director for Multicultural Student Affairs at Ohio Wesleyan University, Salome offered support, advice, and advocacy for students from underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds. Currently based in Kenya, she is volunteering with community organizations that focus on youth and girls/women empowerment while completing her doctoral dissertation.
