As a graduate of Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine, Karen has spent her career managing animal health, protecting animal welfare, and educating human companions as owner of a private veterinary clinic. In this role she has been nationally recognized for her expertise in canine reproduction. Karen has been a volunteer for Labrador Retriever Club of America and currently serves on their Board of Directors. After her first trip to Kenya six years ago, Karen was inspired to contribute to one local community's project to alleviate a water shortage crisis and is excited to work side-by-side with Kenyan girls.
