The Sisterherd Strong Pad Project targets Kenyan girls who lack access to period products by providing free, eco-friendly, reusable menstrual pads and menstrual hygiene education. Additionally, our project donates sewing machines and provides training in making the pads to create a sustainable program.

Empowering Kenyan girls by providing reusable menstrual pads builds their confidence and protects their dignity, allowing them to attend school every day of the month.

Sisterherd Strong Pad Project

Encouraging and Engaging with Kenyan girls is also a part of our Pad Project.  Three Herd Sisters traveled to Maasai Mara in October 2024 with over 2000 pads and conducted a three-day workshop on pad-making and menstrual hygiene education at Oloolumaita Primary School. Twenty-five local women and ten girls from the school participated and assisted in distributing the pads to six area schools.

Crafted to be both eco-friendly and super absorbent, our pads are made with layers of cotton flannel and Zorb, a revolutionary product free of plastic and harmful chemicals.

Since October 2024 over 3000 pads have been distributed, providing more than 900 girls with necessary sanitary products

A $20 donation provides 1 Sisterherd Pad Packet which includes 6 pads, 2 pairs of panties, an educational brochure on menstrual health, and a carrying bag.
